Last Line

My wife shared an article recently in her Google Reader that highlighted great last lines of literature. In it was the last line from The Great Gatsby, and I forgot how wonderful it was until I reread it:

So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.

Raymond Carver's Life and Works

Stephen King wrote a great piece in today's New York Times Sunday Book Review about Raymond Carver's Life and Works. He essentially reviewed a new biography and a reissue of Carver's work (without many of the edits from the original published editions). It's definitely worth checking out here.
