I'm not usually too political here, but as the GOP tries to repeal the health care law here are some important facts to consider.

The Library of Congress has published 700 photographs of Civil War soldiers. While the Civil War seems like the distant, distant past it really isn't. People from the era were still alive when the WWII Generation were young. We're only separated from these people by one, maybe two generations.

The stunning thing about these photographs is how young and recognizable the subjects are. I live in an area between two large universities and many of the subjects could be swapped for their modern counterparts.
